Computer software copyright refers to the exclusive rights enjoyed by software developers or other rights holders according to the relevant copyright laws.

Where entrusted development is undertaken, the entrusted development contract shall be submitted.

Where cooperative development is carried out, the cooperative development contract shall be submitted.

Where a task is assigned for development, a task letter issued by a higher department shall be submitted.

Source Procedure Requirements:

Source procedures should be submitted before and after 30 consecutive pages, a total of 60 pages. Print on A4 paper, not less than 50 lines per page. If the whole procedure is less than 60 pages, it shall be submitted in full.

Document requirements:

Documents should be submitted before and after 30 consecutive pages, a total of 60 pages. Print on A4 paper with no less than 30 lines per page (there is no limit on the number of lines if there are pictures). If the whole document is less than 60 pages, it should be submitted in full.

Note: If the applicant labels the name and version number of the software on the header of the source program and document, it should be identical with the corresponding content in the application form and label the page number.

Cycle: Software copyright registration application, 30 working days from the date of acceptance.

Term of Software Copyright Protection

Software copyright of natural person is protected for 50 years after natural person's life and death, ending on December 31, 50 years after natural person's death; software is developed cooperatively, ending on December 31, 50 years after natural person's death.

Software copyright of legal persons or other organizations shall be protected for 50 years, up to December 31, 50 years after the first publication of the software, but if the software has not been published within 50 years from the date of completion of the development, it shall no longer be protected.
